Fabric Art

Poem Pictographics

A passion to utilize poetry as a linguistic tool in creating non-verbal and visceral imagery.

Fabric scrolls act as a pictographic morphology of a poem. A Persian poem originally written on a flat piece of sheer cotton fabric has been cut, rolled, and arranged into a new structure.

Each piece acts as a visual fragment, hinting at faded traces of an ancient writing -a fragmented diary.
